60-year-old Stow man accused of beating friend

CUYAHOGA FALLS:  A 60-year-old Stow man, accused of beating a 63-year-old friend, is expected to appear in Stow Municipal Court Friday, March 1.

Neil Redington is charged with felonious assault, a second degree felony.  If convicted, he could go to prison for two to eight years.

Police were called to an apartment in the 1800 block of Second Street just before 1 a.m. Friday, where they found a bloody 63-year-old man with severe facial injuries.  He told police he was beaten and kicked by Redington when he told him to leave the apartment.

Police found Redington walking around inside the apartment building.  He had blood on his hands and shoes, police said.

Redington is in the Cuyahoga Falls jail.  His bond will be set when he appears in court.

The injured man was transported to Akron City Hospital.
