For today’s Celebrating One Year feature, we’re taking a look at the schools.
Cuyahoga Falls City Schools Superintendent Todd Nichols discusses a few projects he’s excited about for this school year.
Q:What recent accomplishment are you most proud of and what goals are you focusing on for 2013?
A: Perhaps what we are most proud of is the progress of our Business Advisory Council. The relationships forged through this group have helped shape our vision of the future in the Cuyahoga Falls City Schools. Specifically, we are in the beginning stages of revising our educational delivery model such that it becomes much more focused on college- and career-readiness for each student. Thereby, a more purposeful education, accompanied with a significant amount of student ownership will be afforded to our students.
Q: What makes Cuyahoga Falls unique to other surrounding communities?
A: Cuyahoga Falls is unique in the sense that we are a large community with a small town feel. The relationships established in this community feel as though we have a sincere appreciation for the challenges our students face and a willingness to address them as a community.
