By Gina Mace Published: June 12, 2012

CUYAHOGA FALLS: On Monday, Council will discuss plans to improve the area around Portage Crossing.

Mayor Don Robart is asking Council to approve a $3 million increase to the capital projects fund and allow Falls Service Director Valerie Wax Carr to award contracts for the work.

The money will be used to construct roadways, curbs and sidewalks, sanitary and storm sewers and sewer laterals, water mains and service connections, traffic control devices, street lighting, and landscaping.

The construction, in the area of State Road to Graham Road, and Portage Trail between Norma and 25th Streets and Lillis Drive, is expected to begin late this summer.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Natatorium.
