CUYAHOGA FALLS: Two local businesses will receive an extra boost in sales during Wednesday's Cash Mob.
Sponsored by the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber of Commerce, the Cash Mob is a quarterly event that supports local retail establishments and restaurants that are Chamber members.
Chamber CEO Laura Petrella said everyone is invited.
"We meet in the (Chamber) parking lot at 5:30, and that's when the businesses are announced," she said. "The mystery of it is fun."
Although participants won't know where they are shopping or eating until they assemble in the parking lot, at 151 Portage Trail at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, the businesses are prepped and ready.
Petrella encourages shoppers to bring friends and co-workers over 21 and to carpool.
Shoppers should be prepared to spend at least $10 cash in each business.
The Chamber's first Cash Mob in August attracted 17 shoppers who had dessert first as they hit Rita's Frozen Ice on State Road and Piatto Novo inside Sheraton Suites. Petrella is hoping to at least double that number Wednesday.
The only hint Petrella would give for this week's businesses is that one will be a retail shop.
Locations receive a certificate, saying they've been cash mobbed by the Chamber of Commerce.
