Teachers at Dewitt Elementary returned to school on Monday to find a completely remodeled teacher’s lounge. The surprise lounge makeover was set up by the PTA as a gift to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week.
“We are so grateful for our teachers and wanted to give them a place they could go and relax and rejuvenate on their lunches and prep time,” said Dewitt PTA via website. PTA president Stephanie Ball led the volunteers as they hit local do-it-yourself stores, purchased $1,500 in materials and worked all weekend long, according to Patch.
“We are so grateful to be able to give back to these amazing teachers who invest so much time and energy into all of our children everyday!”
The Dewitt PTA gave a " big thank you" to the following for all of their help via website,
"Stephanie and Dan Ball, Erin Barnett, Megan and Renick Blosser, Mary and Neil Drabinski, Alli Courtemanche, Kelly Farmer, Michelle Fertig, Debbie Fratz, Leigh and Paul Hughes, Jayme Knott, Jen Lowry, Brandy Marks, Wally Masink, Sheila and Donnie Mulhollen, Bob Read, and David Smith (and of course our children who ran up and down letting people in the building and carrying things!)"
