UPublish story by Derek Lashua

Cuyahoga Falls, OH—The Cuyahoga Falls & Silver Lake Police Memorial & Honor Guard Foundation is proud to announce the official dedication ceremony of the Cuyahoga Falls and Silver Lake Police Memorial on Tuesday, August 7, 2012. The dedication ceremony will take place at 10:00 am at the site of the permanent memorial, which is located at the Cuyahoga Falls Civic Center Campus, between the Natatorium and the Municipal Building. The Natatorium is located at 2345 Fourth Street, Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221.

The Cuyahoga Falls and Silver Lake Police Memorial was constructed for our police officers, as an eternal tribute to past, present, and future officers who have dedicated their lives in service to their community and country. The memorial was funded entirely through private donations.

The Cuyahoga Falls Police & Silver Lake Police Memorial & Honor Guard Foundation was established to honor members of the police departments, past and present, encourage community awareness, and establish an endowment to maintain the professional appearance of the memorial site and honor guard. The foundation committee is comprised of Derek Lashua, Chairman and FOPA Executive Board Representative; Steven Amos, Co-Chairman and FOP Representative; Timothy Coons, Treasurer and FOP Executive Board Representative; Greg Putman, Recorder and FOPA Executive Board Representative; and Ken Johnson, Retirement and FOP Representative.

We thank all who have made this memorial possible through monetary, labor, and materials donations. Please join us in our dedication ceremony.
