No band may be more difficult to pay tribute than Led Zeppelin. From the heavy-handed drumming of John Bonham to the high-pitched squeals of Robert Plant to the long and ranging solos of Jimmy Page, few hard rock bands have a more distinct and complex sound.
But arguably no band pays tribute to Zeppelin better than ZOSO, who headlines this week's Rockin on the River Friday night at the Riverfront. The band was named the No. 1 Led Zeppelin tribute by Rolling Stone, and the band sells out venues around the country. Visit their website here.
Opening this week is Cleveland hard rockers Mouth Wired Shut. Just in time for their Rockin' on the River performance, the band has released their new LP Heartbreaks & Happy Endings. The album is filled with heavy riffs and the impassioned vocals of frontman Joey Ariemma. Visit their website here.
As always, each week's Rockin' on the River starts at 5 p.m. at the Riverfront in Cuyahoga Falls. Admission is free.
