On Thursday a 48-year-old Cuyahoga Falls lost control of his car, jumped a curb, smashed through a fence and hit a sedan that was parked in the driveway of 1831 Sackett Avenue. The parked Monte Carlo was hit around 6:45 p.m. after the driver reportedly lost consciousness.
Upon impact, the parked Chevrolet Monte Carlo spun into a tree and slammed into the nearby Sackett residence, said Ken Boldt, who owns the home where the accident occurred, according to Patch.
The man who is reported to be diabetic, lost consciousness which allowed his foot to lay on the gas pedal and rapidly accelerate his vehicle. Sgt. Mark Hawley told Patch that both cars had major damage, and damage to the house was minimal.
He is being treated for a head injury at Summa Western Reserve and extent of injury is unknown.
