On Saturday afternoon under the beautiful blue sky, about 150 children, accompanied by their parents from Cuyahoga Falls and Silver Lake hunted for Easter Eggs on the lawn of the Church in Silver Lake.

The event, sponsored by the officers of the Silver Lake Police Department, was held for the children of the community. All guests had the opportunity to dine on fresh, hot pizza, snack foods, and beverages, and various desserts.

Every child had the chance to win all kinds of prizes ranging from beverage tumblers, to 4-foot tall Easter baskets filled with toys and games.

This is annual event put on for the community according to Sgt. Dann M. Nivens.

"We are fortunate to work with great residents of the area, and this is a very small token of our appreciation."
