COLUMBUS: The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation has awarded safety intervention grants to Green and Silver Lake.
Green received $20,042 to buy two truck-mounted attenuator units and a traffic arrow board. Silver Lake received $13,997 to purchase a pipe maintenance trailer, which includes a hydraulic saw and lightweight jackhammer.

The grants were among 10 statewide totaling more than $233,704.
The bureau designed the Safety Intervention Grant Program to assist Ohio employers in reducing occupational injuries and illnesses.

Ohio private and public employers are eligible to receive the grants. The program provides matching funds to buy equipment that help prevent occupational accidents and injuries.
