Oak Hill Road closed indefinitely

By Beacon Journal staff

BOSTON TWP.: Oak Hill Road will be closed indefinitely, starting today, from the northern Cuyahoga Falls line to the Everett Road connector in Boston Township.

The road has become unsafe because of the failure of the embankment along Furnace Run, officials said.

The posted detour will go from Everett to Riverview Road to Ira Road.

Township officials have asked the Summit County Council to permit the permanent closing of the road, saying they do not have funds to repair it.

The council asked that an effort be made to find a solution in the next 90 days, after which it will decide whether to take action.
