Arrests
A Searl Street woman, 24, was charged Aug. 21 with drug possession. She allegedly had two different narcotic pain pills.
A High Street man, 20, was charged with threatening domestic violence Aug. 22 after he allegedly threatened his sister.
Burglary
A home in the 200 block of Victor Avenue was burglarized Aug. 19.
Child endangering
A passing driver directed an officer's attention to a toddler, wearing only a diaper and T-shirt, who was chasing a dog on Grant Street about 7 a.m. Aug. 17. The officer saw the dog run into an Eighth Street home through an open door. The toddler's father was asleep in the home. The case was referred to Summit County Children's Services.
Fraud
A Second Street man reported Aug. 22 that he cashed a check he received from someone he does not know and wired some of the money to a South Carolina address. He later discovered the check was fraudulent.
Identity theft
An Edward Avenue woman reported Aug. 19 that someone used her identity to open a credit line with an Internet company. The amount due on the account was nearly $5,000.
Misuse of a credit card
A Ninth Street man reported Aug. 20 that he left his debit card in the ATM at a State Road bank. The card was taken and used to make more than $200 in illegal transactions.
