Walsh Jesuit to host all-star game

The Greater Akron Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game is set for 7 tonight at Walsh Jesuit High School.

Association President John Norris and Secretary Joe Wojcik announced the rosters for the game and said there will be finals for a 3-point shootout and slam-dunk contest at 6 p.m.

The American Team will be coached by Stow’s Dave Close. The players will be David Walker (Stow), Kyle Scelza (Stow), Darius Hoiston (Garfield), Evan Keesler (Green), Antonio Hearn (Kenmore), Eric Hummel (Barberton), Mike Duma (Mogadore), Cody Berg (Garrettsville), Nick Foschia (Walsh Jesuit) and Andrew Pratt (Green).

The National Team will be coached by Nordonia’s Matt Cash. The players will be Davonte Brunson (East), Mycle Shadie (East), Josh Kipfer (Wadsworth), Ben Gency (Streetsboro), Jarrett Ruffin (Nordonia), Nick Rodriguez (Nordonia), Ryan Walsh (Ellet), Malik Billingsley (Twinsburg), Mike Conley (Rootstown) and Noah Kainrad (Southeast).
