FRIDAY

Wine festival — Sarah’s Vineyard will host the 10th annual Summer Solstice Wine, Art and Blues Festival from 4 to 10:30 p.m. at 1204 W. Steels Corners Road, Cuyahoga Falls. Twelve Ohio wineries, art from 30 vendors, eight food vendors and live music. It will continue from noon to 10:30 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $8 and includes a wine glass. Native plant gardening — The National Park Service will present a program about native plant gardening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hunt Farm Visitor Information Center off Bolanz Road in Cuyahoga Falls.
 
SATURDAY
Hanging at Hunt — There will be family activities from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Hunt Farm Visitor Information Center off Bolanz Road in Cuyahoga Falls. They will continue from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday.
 
Cuyahoga critters — Artwork on Cuyahoga critters by the Crooked River Gang, a group of local artists, will be featured in an exhibit at the M.D. Garage in the Cuyahoga Valley National park. Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., 1556 Boston Mills Road, Boston Township. The show continues from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
 
SUNDAY
Morning hike — The National Park Service is holding a morning hike of 4½ miles on the moderately tough Salt Run and Lake trails in the Cuyahoga Valley. Meet at 8 a.m. at the Pine Hollow Trailhead off Quick Road in Boston Township.
 
Valley hike — The Akron Metro Parks Hiking Club will meet at 2:30 p.m. at the Everett Road Covered Bridge in the Cuyahoga Valley for a five-mile hike. The trailhead is off Everett Road in Boston Township. 330-687-8139.

Cuyahoga Falls Community Chorus — The chorus has openings for all voice parts and will accept adults of all ages from Cuyahoga Falls and surrounding communities. Akron Pops Orchestra — Seeking musicians, especially strings and keyboards, for the volunteer orchestra, which performs a variety of concert music. Rehearsals are 7:30 p.m. Thursdays at the Quirk Cultural Center, 1201 Grant Ave., Cuyahoga Falls. Most concerts are on Thursday evenings, with a few weekend concerts. Water Works Family Aquatic Center — 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily through Aug. 26, weather permitting, 2025 Munroe Falls Ave., Cuyahoga Falls. Little swimmers, moms and dads will enjoy the zero-depth pool while older kids can lose control on drop slides and water slides. Grab an inner tube, relax and cool off with a peaceful ride down the lazy river. After a good soaking, return to rented cabana to relax.
