Cuyahoga Falls confirms appointment of new police chief

By Gina Mace correspondent

CUYAHOGA FALLS:  City Council on Monday confirmed the appointment of Capt. Jack Davis as police chief.

Davis, a 24-year veteran of the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department, has been acting as interim chief since Chief Tom Pozza retired at the end of December.

Mayor Don Walters said he chose Davis over three other candidates because of his training, experience, and shared vision for the future.

Walters administered the oath of office to Davis after the confirmation.

A public reception for Chief Davis will be held Friday at 9 a.m. in the Falls Natatorium ballroom.
