Walsh Jesuit’s Courtney Iacobacci has made a commitment to continue her academic and athletic career as a Falcon with Fairmont State University in Fairmont, West Virginia. Iacobacci will play for the school’s NCAA Division II softball program.
The co-captain and center-fielder for Warrior softball team, Iacobacci led the Warriors to a 2011 title of District Champs and 2012 title of District Runner-up. In 2011, Iacobacci led the Warriors in fielding and in RBI’s (14), earning her the Golden Glove Award and the title of Stark-Summit County All-Star. She was also named in ESPN’s THE RISE magazine as a “player to watch” in 2010. Iacobacci also played Basketball and ran Cross Country for the Warriors.
Iacobacci, who intends to major in Sports Medicine at Fairmont State University, is the daughter of Mark and Barb Nori of Stow, Ohio.
